Hello crew!

Thanks for coming on Friday – the turn-out was huge and your slums were really quite creative!

For those who weren’t there, we ’slummed it up’ (as someone said) to get a better understanding of what it’s like for a large majority of the world and after a few hours of; ‘bad weather’, thieves, boring work and a very bland dinner of rice we came inside and had a great chat about what we can actually do to help. We floated ideas of sponsoring a child, doing operation Christmas Child, volunteering at a soup kitchen, fundraising and all sorts of other fantastic ideas. Keep bugging us about them and let us know which ones you really want to do.

“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners.”
-Isaiah 61:1
